Simple Stories Take a Hike...August 1st release

Hi everyone!  Before I show you a look at the August 1st release I want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU for your prayers, blessings, and understanding.  I am overwhelmed by the response I received from the newsletter.  You have made me feel so very blessed!!  I knew when I made the decision to come and care for my grandparents you would all understand, but I want you all to know how much this truly means to me for the support you have shown.  I'm overwhelmed with emotion!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!  I value each of you!

So just to give you a bit of an update here is the scoop as to why I had to leave so suddenly.  I wanted to share so that it would give you a bit of insight. My grandparents are 94 and 96 years old.  Grandma has been caring for Grandpa, who has dementia and is detoriating daily.  More so over the past few weeks.  A few weeks ago Grandma broke her leg and is now in a wheel chair for the next several months.  She and Grandpa arrived back at home a few days ago.  It didn't take long to figure out how difficult of a task this was going to be to care for not only herself, but for Grandpa too.  Grandma and Grandpa desperately want to stay in their home.  As a family, we are trying to make this happen. We are taking turns caring for them as we try to figure things out.  I have only been here a day and I'm pretty overwhelmed.  It just breaks my heart to see them like this.  I love them dearly!! 

Okay, now that I got the sad part out of the way.  Onto the release!!  Here is a look at the August 1st release.  This is an old favorite with a new look.  It's the camping album! Whether it’s camping, hiking, fishing at the lake, or just being in the great outdoors, this mini album is perfect for capturing and remembering those special moments.  This album measures approximately 7 x 11 and includes six custom shaped chipboard pages (12 pages front and back).

All kits will be released on August 1st but will not start shipping until I return home on August 10th.  During the time I am away I have very limited internet access (I have to travel to town) as I am in a remote area in Idaho.  I will do my best to keep in touch and answer any emails or questions.  It just might take me a bit longer to get back to you.  Again, thank you so very much for your patience and understanding.

CHA News!!

I just returned home from the summer CHA convention and I'm extremely excited to let you in on a few updates.  We are going to have some awesome new releases coming over the next few months and even some new custom dies on the way. I have to admit, although I LOVE to see all the new releases sometimes I'm not inspired right away when I first arrive at the show.  Not this time!!  I was wanting to purchase EVERYTHING!!  Do I really need to sleep??  I would just LOVE to design 24/7!!  But, I had to narrow things down and I believe I ordered a variety of collections from different manufacturers.  I know I can be a creature of habit sometimes!  So, do want to know whats coming??? 

First, I have to show you what I have been secretly working on.  I was so lucky to be asked to design a mini album with this collection for Simple Stories for the CHA show.  I knew my package was going to arrive in the mail and when it came I literally ripped the box open immediately!  I couldn't wait to get to all the goodies inside.  Want to know what it was??  A DISNEY collection!!!!!!!!!  Yes, so many of you have been wanting a Disney themed album for sooooooo long!!  Well, we can't call it DISNEY, because Walt might not be too happy with us, so the collection is called, "SAY CHEESE."  This collection screams Disney without having anything to do with Disney, Mickey, or Minnie.  I know I always say, "this one is my favorite!" but this one really is a new favorite.  From the CHA buzz I was told this is one of the top new releases and I can definitely see why.  It's cute, but has just a hint of that nostalgic or vintage feel.  And guess what....I'm am one of the first ones to get my hands on this collection for a September release.  Yep!  SEPTEMBER!!  I love this collection soooooooo much I am planning a mini album, a smashbook for all you smashbook lovers, and a two, 2 page layout kit.  So yes, with product on the way, there will be very little sleep in August and all my worker bees will hopefully be able to put in some overtime.  This is the album I created for the CHA show and the kit I will be bringing to all of you will be very similar.  I have a few new dies arriving any day that I want to incorporate. 

So, I would love to hear what you think? Are you excited for September?

Looking ahead, this year I have planned a December Daily album set to be released November.  It will be completely designed to make your holidays stress free and easy.  All you will have to worry about is assembling your album and taking photos.  So easy!!

In June, I polled you to see if anyone would like to see a cruise themed album.  I had wonderful feedback and yes, this album is planned to happen.  But, with all the holiday releases, it may just get bumped a bit and I also just received the okay for a front cover I'm excited about.  So, I want to design a new custom die and will have to wait to receive it.  But hang on, it's still coming!!!
