A look at the February 1st release...

Since there is a break today from the Bella Blvd. releases I thought I would take a moment to give you a look at the upcoming February release.  This custom mini album was created using one of the latest collections from October Afternoon and it's titled, "Forget Me Not."  I decided to design this album with "me" in mind.  Rarely do we scrap ourselves or tell our own story so I decided to do just that with this mini album.  The stickers from this collection prompted my journaling; tidbits from my family heritage, my chilhood, my hobbies, my treasures, my dreams, what I have learned over the years, and my key to happiness.  These are all things I would want my family to remember about me. I used photos from my childhood and photos of me along with family and friends.  "Forget Me Not" would also make a wonderful album of someone special in your life you may not want to "forget."  My first thought was to do this album as a keepsake of my 92 year old grandmother.  I want to remember her story and thought this would be a perfect album for doing this.  Looks like I may just have to make a second album, especially since I also think the papers in this collection make a beautiful hertitage album. It would also be a wonderful album in rememberance of a loved one.

Due to attending the Winter 2012 CHA Convention this release will be available on the website February 1st, but the kits will not start shipping until February 2nd.   Thank you, Julie

Bella Blvd. Sneak Peek Week-Day 5

Happy Friday!!  This release is Stephanie's favorite and most likely some of yours as well because they are very popular right now.  It's new DESIGNER TAPES!  I have to confess I haven't actually used any designer tape just yet, but these definitely make me want to get my hands on some and start playing.  I think I might find some great uses for this tape other than scrapbooking.  Take a moment to visit the Bella Studio blog for some inspiration using these great tapes.  And don't forget about the giveaways!

Bella Blvd. Sneak Peek Week-Day 4

Bella Blvd. Sneak Peek Week-Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the Bella Blvd. Sneak Peeks.  Monday was the new Baby Boy collection so guess what today's collection is....of course it's, BABY GIRL!  Can't have one without the other, right?  And this collection is just as ADORABLE!  I'm still in LOVE with the cute little animals!  My children are 19 and 22 now, a boy and a girl, and these collections make me want to drag out their baby photos and re-scrap them all over again.  Can I do that??  I just might have to just so I can get my hands on these paper collections.

Yours Truly

I wanted to take a moment to share with you a finished "Yours Truly" mini album.  For the most part you see the kit examples without photos, but I think the photos are what makes the mini albums and page layouts come alive.  My daughter has been home from college on winter break for the past month...yes, I have been enjoying my "girl" time!  While she was home her boyfriend who has never been to California came to visit.  She decided to make this book for him as a keepsake of the places they visited and the fun times they had togther.  She developed all their photos in black and white and added some titles of the places they visited.  I think the book came out adorable and she can't wait to give it to him.

January 1st release...coming soon!!

I have really kept you waiting for a look at the January releases.  Sorry about that...it's been so busy with the holidays, but I won't keep you waiting any longer. 

We will have two new releases for January.  Due to the New Year's holiday the kits will be available for purchase on the website sometime January 3rd.  And good news...both releases are new custom designs exclusively for Paisleys and Polka Dots and due to the fast sell outs during the holiday releases we have increased the quantities on all of the kits.  

Our first release is an exclusive mini album using the Yearography collection from Simple Stories, called "A Year in Review."  A new year is beginning so document your special moments from 2011 or get a head start 2012 and document the year as it happens.  This kit has a page for every month (14 pages including front and back covers) and comes with a sticker sheet that contains several different alphabets so you can add titles and subtitles to your album.

Here is a look at the second release.  This is also an exclusive gate fold mini album using the Yours Truly collection from Echo Park and the album is also called, "Yours Truly."  This album comes just in time for your sweetheart for Valentines Day or it would make a perfect gift for a wedding, anniversary, or just for documenting the special loved ones in your life.  This kit also offers an alphabet sticker sheet so you can add titles and details to your pages. 

Here is look at the last page in the album.  This is a real pocket so you can insert extra photos or journaling cards (you will have extra in the kit).

You Melt My Heart kits have been restocked...

Merry Christmas!!  For all of you that missed out on the "You Melt My Heart" mini albums and also the winter layout they have now been restocked. 

Bella Blvd. Blog Hop...Happy Birthday to Stephanie!

Here's wishing Stephanie, the amazingly talented designer and owner of Bella Blvd. a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  And to celebrate we are doing a blog hop of the birthday cards the design team created especially for her.  For those that are just joining me, you will want to go to the Bella Blvd blog, so you can start at the beginning of the blog hop because you don't want to miss anything. 

Here is the card I created for Stephanie. I have always said that one of the things I love about Bella products is that many of the collections compliment each other and the colors blend so well.  So it's great when you have small left overs and you can use them up.  Would you believe I used three different collections on this card?  Yep!  To create the base of the card I used the Sophisticates Short Stories, Petite Pieces, and Calendars.  I added a cute yellow border sticker from the Alpha + Bits Spring Flings & Easter Things sticker sheet.  The flower is an ever so cute Baby Blooms a Bella.  I can't get enough of these flowers!  The title was created with the Simply Sonoma letters from the Sophisticates collection and the sticker details are from the Winter Wonder and Sophisticates card miniatures stickers.  

Even though it's Stephanie's birthday, we have some gifts for a few of you lucky readers as well! We know how generous and giving Stephanie is, and we know she would never have a fun blog hop, without a few giveaways up for grabs too. So we got permission from Robin, who works alongside Stephanie in the office, to pick TEN lucky winners, who will each receive a Bella Blvd collection. December releases

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  The December releases are up on the website.  We do anticipate another quick sell out so be sure to grab them quick.  We will be restocking the "You Melt My Heart" mini albums and the "Winter" layouts.  The product has already been ordered and we are waiting for it to arrive.  So, on to the releases...

This adorable mini album can be used for several different purposes.  Using the alphabet stickers included in the kit you can customize the title of the book.  This book can be used for your Christmas Memories, or instead of placing photos in the book add your favorite recipes for a Christmas Favorites book, or your favorite cookie recipes in a cookie exchange book.  This book measures 5 3/4 x 9 and includes 5 chipboard pages (10 pages including front and back covers).  This kit comes pre cut with full color instructions.  There is no tracing and cutting of pages involved.

This adorable custom mini album is sure to melt your heart and warm you up during those chilly winter days.  This album uses the new Winter Wonder collection from Bella Blvd.  This is a gate fold mini album and includes 6 chipboard pages (12 pages including front and back covers) and measures 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 in diameter.  You will receive 2 sticker sheets to customize your album plus plenty of fun extra embellishments. 

 Note:  This kit come pre cut except you will be required to cut apart a border sheet, a couple die cuts, and a few felt pieces. There is no tracing and cutting of the pages involved.

Bella Blvd. and Jillibean Soup coming soon...

Before I show you a little look at the December 1st releases I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the extremely fast sell out of the November releases.  We actually made more kits than ever before anticipating the hoiday releases would be a bit more popular.  Unfortunately, we still didn't figure correctly.  Over the past two months we have had a large increase in our customer base which was not planned for.  I know that many of you were very disappointed after waiting all month for the release only to get online and find they were sold out.  I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this caused.  We will continue to strive to get our quantities correct and meet the needs of our customers.  The most difficult part of this business is knowing what will be popular and how many kits to make.  Since we order our product months in advance it is very difficult to increase the quantities at times.  If we are able to restock, we will do so if the product is still available.  I hope you will all bear with us as we are having this wonderful growth spurt.  Thank you!!  Now on to the upcoming releases...

Bella Blvd. Finally Fall

Hi Everyone...stopping by to give you a little inspiration today.  Here is my latest layout that I created for Bella Blvd using the Finally Fall collection. 

For me, the best part about designing is in the details. I LOVE details and I can't get enough of the cute little stickers, chipboard shapes, and alphabets. For this layout I punched out a bunch of 1 1/2 inch circles using a paper punch...it's a great way to add a lot of color to your page without using a lot of paper too. For the first row, I folded down the circles not quite half way allowing some of the underneath color to show. For the second row, I cut off the top of the circles and placed them just behind the first row. I machine stitched across the top of the circles to hold them in place and add more detail to my layout. I also ran a zig zag stitch across the bottom borders of the page. To add some texture and dimension I die cut a few flowers out of felt, added a few buttons and some bakers twine. This "fall" collection was perfect for my late "summer" photos. Bella Blvd. Winter Wonder and Spring Flings and Easter Things

Happy Friday!!  Today is the day I get to show all of you the layouts I designed with the newest collections from Bella Blvd.  They have been showing some awesome layouts, cards, and altered items all week long so be sure to stop by the Studio Blog and check them out. 

I am Cali girl and we don't get snow where I live so I LOVE to visit cold winter places with lots of the fluffy white stuff.  And when I'm there I like to take lots of photos so I can't get enough of this Winter Wonder collection.  I love how the colors are perfect for both my son and daughter.

My second layout is with the Spring Flings and Easter Things collection.  Once again I'm loving the colors of this collection.  Be sure to stop by the Bella Studio Blog to get all the details of how I completed these layouts.

Recipe card file

Here is the recipe card file for the Recipe book for the Nov. 1st release.  You can download the file and save it so you will be able to print off future recipe cards to add to your book. Print them off and trim along the black line.  Poke the holes using a cropadile or a 3/16" hole punch.

Note:  Be sure the page scaling is set to "none" before clicking the print button or it will shrink your recipe card just a little.

Authentique Wonder collection

Hi everyone!  Just stopping by to show you what we have been working on.  This is one of the November first releases and it is designed using the Wonder collection from Authentique.  I love the traditional colors and prints from this line.  The first is the mini album called, "12 Days of Christmas."  This would make a great book filled with your 12 favorite holiday traditions, your 12 favorite things to do during the holidays, or even how you spent the 12 days leading up to Christmas.  You will receive a full sheet of holiday words along with plenty of other embellishments so that you can customize your album with your own holiday phrases.  This album measures 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 and comes with 6 chipboard pages. 

And here is the 12 x12 layout.  I'm loving the custom felt shape poinsetta's and leaves...
